A low-sugar diet doesn’t mean missing out on pumpkin pie, the evergreen hero of autumn desserts. Make sure you use pure canned pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling, which already comes with sweeteners and spices.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare the single-crust pastry.
  2. Add canned pumpkin, Stevita, evaporated milk, eggs, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and salt in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour mix into pie crust and bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a knife comes out clean when inserted into center. Allow to cool and top with Whipped Cream (see index).
