Stirred Custard Sauce
- EGGS - 3 PCS, BEATEN
- LIGHT CREAM - 2 CUPS
- STEVITA ORGANIC SPOONABLE STEVIA - 3 TEASPOONS
OR SIMPLY-STEVIA PURE STEVIA - 3/8 TSP.
OR STEVITA ORGANIC SPOONABLE STEVIA - 6 PACKETS
- VANILLA - 1 TEASPOON
In a heavy, medium saucepan, combine eggs, cream, and stevia. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until the custard just coats a metal spoon. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour custard mixture into a bowl. Cover surface with clear plastic wrap. Chill till serving time. Create your own flavor by adding 3 tablespoons of flavored liqueur instead of the vanilla.
Makes 6-8 servings.
The perfect addition to bread pudding, cake, or to top off fruit. Also makes a delicious fondue for cubes of cake or sliced fruit.
