Flan with Butterscotch Sauce
- SKIM MILK - 1-QUART
- EGGS - 5
- STEVITA ORGANIC SPOONABLE STEVIA - 7 TEASPOONS
OR SIMPLY-STEVIA PURE STEVIA - 7/8 TSP.
OR STEVIA - 14 PACKETS
- VANILLA - 2 TEASPOONS
- BUTTERSCOTCH SAUCE - (SEE INDEX)
In a heavy saucepan, heat milk just to simmering. Beat eggs until foamy in medium bowl; gradually whisk hot milk into eggs. Stir in stevia and vanilla. Pour milk mixture through a strainer into an ungreased, 1-quart casserole or soufflé dish; cover with lid or aluminum foil, Place dish in roasting pan on middle rack of oven. Pour 2 inches of water into roasting pan. Bake at 325°F until custard is set and sharp knife inserted near the center comes out clean (1 to 1 1/4 hours). Remove dish from roasting pan, and cool to room temperature on wire rack. Refrigerate until chilled (5 to 6 hours). Spoon Custard into dishes; top with Butterscotch Sauce.
